Inside the vision shaping a more accessible future for robotic surgery.

Robotic surgery has often remained limited to a small fraction of patients, held back by cost, infrastructure demands, and the complexity of adoption. Articulus Surgical was built to challenge that reality with systems designed for Indian clinical settings and the hospitals that already exist today.
In the SRX Robotics Podcast led by Supriya Rathi, Founder Saurya Mishra speaks about building Articulus from a simple but important belief: medical technology must ultimately serve the patient. For Articulus, surgical robotics is not about building machines in isolation. It is about helping surgeons deliver better care, with greater precision, to more people.
That belief shaped the company early. Before Articulus formally began, Saurya spent months observing procedures, understanding operating room workflows, and listening closely to surgeons. That immersion helped define a philosophy that still guides the company today: build with surgeons, not around them.
What emerged is a connected product ecosystem built around real clinical adoption. Nebula addresses robotic surgical training. Galaxi brings surgeon-controlled visualisation into minimally invasive workflows. Pulsar is the company’s flagship robotic surgery platform. Together, they reflect a stepwise path to adoption, where familiarity builds trust and trust enables scale.
A defining idea from the conversation was that hospitals do not simply adopt robots; they adopt robotic programs. Training, support, workflow integration, and long-term confidence are all part of making the technology work in practice. At Articulus, the relationship begins well before installation and continues far beyond it.
This is also what makes the company’s approach distinct. Articulus systems are designed to be compact, modular, and compatible with existing laparoscopic operating rooms, reducing the need for major infrastructure changes. That practical design philosophy makes advanced robotics more deployable, more relevant, and ultimately more accessible.
