Articulus Surgical is building surgical robotics in India, for India.
Founder Saurya Mishra, IIT Kharagpur-trained in manufacturing and robotics, built Articulus around a simple observation: most global robotic platforms are designed for high-resource environments, while India's healthcare system , specifically in Tier 2 and Tier 3 hospitals, operates within real limits of space, infrastructure, and access. Rather than treat those realities as obstacles, we treated them as design requirements.

Articulus Founded
Founded by Saurya Mishra in the middle of COVID, to make minimal access surgery reachable in every Indian OR. The first patent was filed the same year.
2022
First Tabletop Prototype
A small in-house team built the first completely home-grown tabletop concept of the surgical robot, backed by BIRAC's BIG grant and the Startup India Seed Fund.
2023
On the National Map
Forbes and CNBC-MoneyControl's Top 100 Startups took notice, as one prototype grew into a family of systems — First Galaxi system concept was created. Recognized by the Royal Academy of Engineers, UK.
2024
Cleared for Testing
First fully functional Pulsar system operational. CDSCO granted MD-13 test licences for both Galaxi and Pulsar — the first regulatory green light. More patents filed.
2025
Seed Round Closed
Gaurav Agarwal joins the board of the company as an Investor Director. YourStory named Articulus to its Tech30 list. Nebula was created as a concept and soft launched the same year at ASICON, Kolkata. Articulus moves to its new home in South Bangalore.
2026
Nebula Goes to Market
Kalaari Capital led a major seed round as the 1st Financial Investor. Pilot production unit setup. Nebula became the first Articulus system to reach the market, DSIR recognised our in-house R&D unit, and the patent portfolio keeps growing.
